Event tip: „Revealing Realities: Afrozensus – English Edition Launch“

As part of their project KomPAD (Competence Network Against Anti-Black Racism), Each One Teach One (EOTO) e.V. is hosting the event „Revealing Realities: Afrozensus – English Edition Launch“ on March 21, 2024 from 4 pm to 7 pm. The event will take place at EOTO e.V. (Togostraße 76, 13351 Berlin) and will be in English. By diving into the translated insights of the Afrozensus, now accessible to a wider international and multilingual national audience, the event will focus on anti-Black racism in Germany and Europe.

The Afrozensus is a landmark survey that provides a comprehensive overview of the lives, challenges, and discrimination experiences faced by people of African descent in Germany. This survey uncovers the multifaceted realities of Black, African, and Afro-diasporic individuals, offering invaluable insights into their societal contributions, struggles against racism, and aspirations for a more inclusive future.

The translation of the Afrozensus into English opens new doors for transnational networking and sets the stage for further data collection globally as well as nationally.
